Recently, I changed my IDE’s JVM at work. After this change it was impossible for me to deploy any project from within Eclipse (using Lomboz and JBoss 4.02) because of this error : “Launching (Error: Specified VM install not found: type Standard VM, name j2sdk1.4.2_05)”, finally, after some hours looking for the solution on the internet, Mario, a workmate, found the solution :
Open Eclipse. Open the “Run” Menu and select “External Tools” –> “External Tools”. A window will popup, showing -on the left hand- a category named “Ant build” and a single .xml file for each project at the workspace.
Click the first project in the treeview and select the “JRE” Tab. Select the radio-button labeled “Run in the same JRE as the workspace”. Click on the “Apply” button (and the “Run” button if desired) and repeat these steps for each project listed. Now, all projects will be deployed normally.
Hope this advice helps someone and prevents he/she from wasting his/her time trying to solve this annoying error.
